Default Hard water spots

Thanks to a nearby sprinkler system my Z has those pesky hard water spots all over one side and front.

Does any one know of a good safe way to remove those stubborn hard water spots...any cleaners or technique?

They should come off easily with a claybar. If you head down that route, you might as well claybar the whole car.

If you pickup a claybar kit at an auto store, it should come with instructions on how to use. The method is something like this:
Wash the car with Dawn to remove any dirt and old wax, etc.
Use the claybar with a lubricant. You can make some by mixing a capful of Dawn in spray bottle with some water. Spray a foot square area then rub the claybar back and forth with a light pressure.

Continually change sides of the claybar. Knead it and fold it to constantly expose a new clean surface of clay. After you do your car, wash it one more time. Dry and apply your favorite protectant.

Try white vinegar first, if not working try a clay bar, and if that does not work Zaino z-12 polish WILL work....

I have hard water spots as well, I tried the claybar it didn't work. The water spots are still visible.
White Vinegar? Really? That would smell good! How do you apply it? Just wipe the vehicle with white vinegar ?

i had really stubborn water spots on my window, and somebody on this board suggest white vinegar to get rid of em.

i didnt have white vinegar, i only had rice vinegar, but i used it anyway, and the water spots came off so easily.

im not sure if it would be too harsh for your car paint tho. im pretty sure it would take the water spots off your car really fast. maybe u can just apply the vinegar, then rinse with water right away before it can do any harm to your paint.

good luck!
