Put the first coats on the wife's Avalon at Christmas time then the next ones about a month ago. It still beaded water and looked pretty darn good (for a 7 year old car) right before that second treatment. Longetivity not a problem, I'd say.

The law of diminishing returns actually applied at coat 2
While anything after 30 or 40 is simply insanity at its finest I would have to disagree.

I noticed a gradual improvement on up to 15 and then, really no difference until I got to 25 or so. It just seemed to shine a little "deeper" than before.

Obviously after that, it is just my compulsion and "Love of the Game". If you haven't read my editorial on "WHY", here is the link to it:

Yeah, but that would eliminate 90% of all the great arguments we get into!

yea 75 coats i dont know i mean the car looks absolutly beautiful however id like to see a brick with 4-5 coats parked right next to it and see if there would be any noticeable difference.
Trust me, there is DEFINITELY a difference.

Has anybody tried zaino over crystal guard?
Probably not a good idea. I think Zaino works best on either bare paint, or Zaino itself.

Bonz, have you done a full dawn, clay since the first coats were applied?
I did the full process from day one and repeated it around layer number 35 when Zaino came out with their New Formula Z-2. The claying really didn't remove the previous layers of Zaino though. Water still beaded like a champ afterward.

Thanks for all of the complements guys!
