Default Does paint need to cure?

I've always been told that you shouldn't apply wax to a
new car for a few months because the paint needs to cure.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this? Is this an old
wives tale?

It's an old truth, just not true any more. Go ahead and wax it.

I clayed and wax my car the first week I got it. I've had the car now 1 month and probably have about 7 coats of wax on it (Zaino) and the paint looks amazing. My car is Chrome Silver and maybe you cannot notice the shine as much as in a darker car but to me it looks incredible.

I was hesitant initially about waxing my car right away but the expertise of some of the members of the forum inspired me to go ahead and I am definitely glad I did.
