Default PC and No. 9 on SB 350Z, not spending enough time on sections?

First of all, I have a brand new super black 2004 350Z. After getting it home and looking at the paint in detail it has some swirls in it from the delearship washing apparently.

Well, I got all of my equipment in last week which consist of the following:
7424 PC with the pad kit
Big Blue WW
Microfiber application kit
Microfiber towels
Meguiar's No. 9
3M SMR for dark cars
NXT Tech wax and booster spray
claybar

Well, this weekend I did the following:
washed car
Clayed car
washed car
Meguiar's No. 9 with yellow pad PC
NXT application with black foam application pad on PC
Removal of NXT with microfibers
2nd coat of NXT by hand application with foam pad
removal with MF towels again

The car looks beautiful (no digital camera atm so no pics sry) but it still has some swirls in it(I had the Q-Beam and a flashlight out on the paint).

My question is what is the best way to apply the No. 9 or the 3M SMR (whichever one works best, I liked the No. 9 cause it comes off ALOT easier to me) with the PC? It was my first time using the PC so I was scared to get down and dirty with it so I did small sections at a time with little pressure and one run over the section. Should I of spent more time on each section with the No. 9 or did mutiple applications to remove all of the swirls? I was worried about the car being new and messing the paint up, first time PC jitters.

Thanks

don't be nervous, and make sure you give it enough time to break down

a better place to search for an answer to this would probably be autopia or meguiarsonline.com

I haven't worked w/ #9

Do not let any polishing compound like you are working with dry on the paint, always remove it while wet, I do not use the PC to remove the product, just to work it into the paint until it breaks down into an oil and then I remove it by hand.
