Thanks for posting your findings.

I don't think any of the polymers will do a great job at hiding swirls.. all they do is hide. Need to use a true polish with cut to knock them down and then fill.

When mine gets bad enough, I'm going back to the 3M polish before I put blackfire back on top of it.

nice write up Krazy...from what I seen (in pics) and read is that Zaino is a very optically clear shine...what I like about the NXT is that it is shiny and it also darkens a bit too...I think that maybe the depth you are talking about...

Flynn...NXT with a PC definately diminishes/hides swirls... I did my old 97 black caddy with tons o' swirls and filled them in very well...that was one car I wish I had my digi cam with me..

I have used both now, and like Zaino for its shine and how it does not leave any wax residue or dust. As far as NXT, I miss the easy wipe off of it and how it hides more scratches and imperfections. Plus, you only use one thing for waxing and scratches instead of two. I will have to see which one I am going to stick with for right now I only have 4 layers of Z-2 on there and the thing is blinding people.

do you think its a big deal if i put the tech wax over the Z5. Swirls are my sworn mortal enemy, and with each coat of Z5, i gets only marginally better.

I just tried BLACKFIRE after waxing with NXT last week. I did the full steps, swirl remover, polish and paint protectant. All i gotta say is that BLACKFIRE is definitely in a different league from NXT. Both look pretty much the same under the shade but once u bring it out into the sun its difference between heaven and hell. BLACKFIRE makes the paint look much darker, and the reflections are CLEAN, no greasy look or anything. It hides swirls, and removes swirls much much better... in fact i don't see a single swirl now haha. It was very easy to wipe off and very easy to put on, i am hooked.

Picture taken at 12 in the afternoon, full blast sunlight.

Nice picture aznmojo, very nice. I hear Blackfire works nicely on red cars also. Maybe I'll give that stuff a try next.

I think its only sold by properautocare.com

They are great to deal with.

Finding the higher quality (beyond a portion of Meguiar's or Mother's products) is near impossible in retail. You need to go web/mail order.
