Default Good interior protectant?

What's a good interior protectant?

I know that Armor All and other alcohol-based thingies are bad because they crack your dash long-term.

I thought Brad4rdHay mentioned something called "Griott's Garage" or something, but I can't seem to find it anywhere...

one of the nice thing about it is that it serves multiple purposes, tires, rubber, interior, since it contains an SF40 sun-block maybe I'll also spray it on my seats, I've already treated that with the 303 Fabric gurard.

Thanks for the link Ndriver. I couldn't find the 303 at the stores. I just ordered some online.

Brad, does the 303 give you that hazy film on the inside of your windows like Armor All? I have avoided using anything on the dash or inside of the doors so far and the inside of my windows has been chrystal clear. I hope this doesn't do what the Armor All did to my Stealth.

From one of Brad's past posts:

"The haze is something called out-gassing, its from the vinyl leaching out fumes, the same stuff that contributes to the new car smell. Using silicon based protectants does seem to encourage this, I dont know why. I will say that you should be very happy with the 303 protectant. Its great stuff. Also, dont use amonia based glass cleaners. Not only do they smell terrible, but getting amonia on the leather and vinyl is not good for it."

Hope that helps.

I printed Brad's 8 Step process, and took it with me to Pep Boys, to see what items I could knock off the shopping list.

Came home with the bug scrub sponge.

Actually, I picked up a couple other items. Brad recommended Vinylex as an interior cleaner. $8.99 for a little 16 oz spray bottle. Every other interior cleaner was no more than $5.00. Hope this stuff is worth the markup!

I also picked up a tin of Mothers Carnuba Wax. Those were the only products with Brad's stamp of approval. But I did also pick up the Mothers Clay Bar (can't believe I am going to clay my car).

I wish I could find some quality micro-fibre cloths at a local retail store. I want to do my first wash/detail this Saturday, and I gots to have them cloths!

Vinylex works nicely - may want to do a comparison at some point. It has the glossiest finish according to our Detail guru.

Wipe on, buff off

Cool, I ordered a 12-oz bottle of 303. I'll see how it works and buy more if it's good!

Bonz, I've used 303 for about 5 years. Someone told me to use it on my flares for my wrangler. Once I saw the price I was about to go nutz! Now I'm buying it buy the gallon
