Angry Dealer F'd Up Paint!!! Grrrrrr!

I dropped my car off at the dealer yesterday because the breaks were squeeking. They had a special on detailing so I told them to do it.

When I went to get it a few hours ago...
First of all, there was water spots all over the car. Then if you look closer, there were swirl marks. There were also there white dots that I thought were lint but when I tried to wipe them off they didn't budge. I looked closer and they were actually chips in the paint! My car is now covered with them!

On top of everything, they charged me for the break job even though something in the caliper broke! Aren't "things that break from normal use" covered under the warrny?

They said to bring it back friday and they'll get the paint done right. What should I do if they don't get all that stuff out?

HELP! MY BABY! IT'S SCARRED!

i'll have some pictures up later.

sounds like you got screwed, I wouldn't let them touch your paint, they should pay you to take it to a detailer of your choice to get fixed

What did they charge you for? brakes are normal wear and tear. They are not covered under warranty. Did they charge you to replace the caliper? Did they replace your brake pads? If they replaced the caliper and decided to change your pads because it was time you should be paying for PADS only as their warranty claim ont he caliper should of covered the labor.

If the paint is chipped, the entire panel where the chips are would be repainted if it where my car, that is oh not so right!!!!

they said that the caliper pin came loose and got wedged between the pad and the rotor completely grinding it out so they had to replace the pads ON BOTH SIDES eventhough the right caliper was the only one that failed. Then they had to resurface the rotors. On top of everything charge me like $40 for labour. And let's not forget $50 for a BG 15,000 mile tune-up kit recommended by Nissan...I was never asked if I wanted that crap put in my car.

After looking at the work order closer when I got home, It said 16,709 miles in and 16,709 miles out. After driving home (four blocks) it said 16,720... Extra 10 miles? Funny how it was done right after lunch...

I'm furious!

I wouldn't be worried about the 10 miles. But seriously sounds like you didn't come out of the deal right. They should of covered the damage the pin caused

NEVER detail your car at a dealership. Hire a pro to do it. Dealers details are done by cheap workers who dont know the art of detailing. Its a shame.
