Default how to remove that filmsy stuff on the headlight

after the horrible experience with mr. clean's autodry, it left a filmsy stuff on my headlight that i can't seem to remove. anyone here got any suggestions?

I had some marks on mine that resisted regular washing, so I got Zaino's plastic cleaner & polish and it did a good job, although it involved a lot of elbow grease since it is a very mild polisher.
