Race prepping the Z for dragstrip
What do you guys do for race preps on a stock Z? Other than pulling out all the plastic and going to extreme like that famous Sentra. I would imagine:
I heard some E30 pulled a 13.5 stock so I'm feeling very competetive.
- use drag radials if available
- lowering tire pressure
- going back to stock rims and removing spare tire
- removing left headlight for ram air (not sure if this helps)
- lap cooling by keeping the hood open between runs
- arriving 1/8 tank and using a higher octane race gas
- doing burnouts
- measuring wind velocity and other factors

You pretty much got it. If you have stock tires dont bother lowering tire pressure, it wont help. I would forget about removing the headlight.
Oh and go on the third yellow.

I doubt judging by your mods list that you have any idea on how to drag race-especially if you want to hit a 13.5, oh wait, the glowing shift **** will help knock off .2's off every shift!

make sure you are running solid rocket booster fuel or drop a couple pebbles of Uranium in the tank...a useless higher octane gas will only yeild about 50rwhp pffft

Running a higher octane in your tank just means that unless your engine is modified to an extreme that its not gonna burn all the gas in your eninge. That just means you are going to get carbon spots on valves/pistons. Have fun doing it though cause I know you wont listen to this.
