BTW - I just looked at you dyno sheet and that looks like a rather risky AFR on boost 12.5-13.0 is a little lean for my blood.

These motors can handle that with no problem and it still shoots out fuel when I get on it... As you know, their are many aspects of tuning that come into play... Allthough every tuner has their own theory and method, I have been using my tuner for a long time and trust his knowledge.. He does tuning and research for BMW North America as well as builds all of Fords Sema Trucks. Including this TT monster...

Oh, and thats the intercooler in the front and the radiator in the tailgate of the truck.... It is sick and was all hand built and fabricated in 6 weeks...

Ahh, that is what I was thinking. I couldn't imagine the 350z axles holding up to repeated 5K+ clutch dumps on slicks. If you could manage one, I bet you'll be seeing 1.5-1.6 60 fts and some nice 11.5's or lower!!!

Who did your install and tuning for the Unichip??

As many know, I am "involved" with MRC Motorsports in NJ. All work is done there and all tuning is done at IDA Automotive in Morganville..
And yea, the stock axles are ok I guess, but usually break the splines right off in the hub.. I had a weird case of actually breaking the cv joint in the boot coming out of the rear... I have an extra set of stock axles out of our parts car but am not reday to break mine yet..!! Very soon though as I will be doing a new flywheel and clutch within the next couple of weeks.. The CM stage 3 finally let go yesterday.... :-(

Well I have posted this many times before but I am always trying to help where I can...
If you are running a 15x8, then you need a 5.5" backspace... If you want to run a 15x10, then you will need a 6.5" backspace.. I am running the 8's with a 10.5" wide tire but either would work....

sorry about asking a question that has obvisouly been asked many times before..but I can never find any useful information with the search function about what wheels guys use with slicks.

I ordered a set of Weld Prostars today in 15x8...but I got the 3.5" backspace...I'm assuming these won't work and I'll have to send them back. Any insight?

Please don't take what I said the wrong way, not my intentions at all. I am here to help whoever wants help... I just remember there being athread in the racing section not that long ago about slicks... Anyway, yes, I don't think a 3.5bs will work... A 5.5 fits perfect, and is the exact same setup that a newer mustang takes.... I just looked at summit racing and a 15x8 with a 3.5 bs is equivalent to a wheel with a -25mm offset. and a 8" weld wheel with a 5.5" bs has a +25mm offset... So I don't think that it will even bolt on in my opinion... Sorry...

Do you drive the car on the Slicks to the track or do change tires there.
Since there is almost no space in the trunk that seems to be a challenge.

They say even though they are street legal they are not for highway use...

I once drove up on some e.t. streets, only about 30 miles though. Speeds as high as 70 mph on the way there. I set the tire pressure to 20 psi for the drive up. What shocked me the most was how much they "float", just driving 50 mph in 4th and giving it gas sends the a$$ into a wiggle, you are always correcting when driving on slicks. Its almost like driving on a flat tire, if you stay on the gas, its easier to control than if you vary your speed. If you dont want to drive up on them just have a freind take your slicks and a jack up for you, thats what I did last time I went to the track.
