Just curious fellas, what do you guys run @ the dragstrip as far as wheels and tires go? Do you have an extra set of rear wheels with slicks, drag radials, or what? Has anybody found a good wheel off of something else to run on the rear of a track model just to mount some sticky tires on? Especially you guys running the same setup as me.

Everyt time Ive gone minus the last time out Ive run on street tires, no DR's. I bought a set of used Weld Pro Star 16" wheels that fit over our Brembo's with some MT E.T. streets on them, although my first time out I launched like a$$, my 1/4 time decreased dramatically. BTW those wheels are discountinued now, so if you want wheels for some slicks your gonna have to find something else, or just run some DR's....

Yeah but they don't make a 19" drag radial do they. Even if they do I bet they cost a $hitload! I'm trying to figure out if some has found a wheel off something else that will work. When I had my ECU reflashed @ AAM, there was a 240 on a lift with 95-96 style Cobra wheels on it. If I could get something like that to work I could pick them up and some 17" d/r pretty reasonable ya know?
