Default Slicks? What tire/rim combos are you using?

I'm looking to get E/T Streets on 16x7.5" 300ZX rims for the track, I was just wondering what everyone else was using?

Default 16x8.5 z32 rear wheels with 26x11.5x16 ET Streets.

mrtomcat, do you use spacers with your setup? And if not, why did you have to change lugs? How much do these wheels weigh?

no spacers, these dimensions fit perfectly.
The Wheels are racing wheels NHRA requieres special lug nuts for those. They cover the stud giving additional safety

The wheels are ultra light don't know how much but it's amazing how light they are

Oh man, I have a secret for everyone.

94-98 16" Mustang GT wheels

My buddy had 10.5" slicks on them, we just test fit them on my car yesterday...Perfect, and they weight almost nothing.

get good drag radials

et streets are wobbly fomr a roll and they actually dont hook that well on slicks street surfaces.

i have daily driven on

ET streets
ET drags
M&H DOT slicks
Nittos 555Rs

i have yet to try BFG drag radials, though they do hook better on the track and street they last about half as long as the nitto and nittos got me consistant 1.8s and some 1.7s

I was thinking of 555R's but not enough people are concerned with dragging and noone likes to respond to my threads in the wheel/tire section You just made my mind up for me though, I think I'll be ordering them Saturday morning.

they are a great street tire and hook better than all my normal street tires in the rain.. until the center gets bald of course.

they are just a little tricky at the track but with an auto you should have no problem. they hit the tire much less hard. get them heated up and run them 15-20 find the spot that works for you. i dailied mine at 15 cause i like to hook.

Where oh where can I get the best deal (price) on these Mustang GT 16" wheels? I need them preferably to be 16"X9", but 16"X8" or 16"X 8.5" wide would be ok. 10" wide would be ok as well. I want to run Mickey Thompson ET street radial P255/50R/16s on my '04 enthusiast (no brembo) 350Z. Any and all help greatly appreciated. What is the offset on these wheels. What is a good price?

I don't seem to be able to find 16" Weld wheels X 8 or 8.5 - 10"s that will fit my 350Z. Or any other 16" wheels that will work with the above tires.

It's no secret...plenty of guys run mustang wheels on the Z...it's a really cheap alternative to welds or some other lightweight drag rim.

BTW - I don't think you'll get out of the hole much better than you do now with slicks without a torque converter upgrade. Your car will probably end up bogging pretty bad.
