Default Using drag radials...HELP!

I just got a set of Nitto Nt 555 DR's and have a question. I have a 2004 enthusiast and have pulled the brake fuse (driver footwell). After doing so, the brake lights didn't come on as expected but my ABS is still active. So I'm unable to do a brake stand. When we did the same thing in my buddies 2003, the ABS light and SLIP lights came on and he was able to do the brake stand. On a side note, his 2003 has a VDC light/button/fuse while my 2004 has TCS, what's that about?

Well first off you dont need the brake fuse removed when just using drag radials. If you wanna heat em up spin em a few rotations in the water box and moce a few feet out and then put car in 2nd gear while at a stop and rev high and drop it as hard as you can and you will spin them at a much higher speed than in first gear and will heat the radials up faster and by the time you reach the line they should be smoking and sticky enough to provide you with all the traction they can deliver. Im running slicks and i still dont pull the fuse when i do burnouts, i just heat em up as much as possible before i reach the line.

Thanks bro! I've yet to try a 2nd gear burnout. Back to the problem with my car, I think I'm unable to do a brakestand/burnout because of some massive wheel-hop but I really don't know. It's just strange my friends 2003 can do it.

Shouldn't I be doing a long 4-5 second burnout with DR's too?

It's almost a science to do a standing burnout with a Z even with the fuse pulled...
I installed a switch that let's me turn it on and off...but I know when I had my 04 track that did not work, all the lights would come on and the car would choke...
on the 05 enthusiast it works like a charm but I still hopp out the box on occasion...

you need to revv high enough in order to get a good spin in 2nd (about 5500 rpm) and immidiately hit the break after you dump the clutch and then accomodate for the fishtailing...

I'm getting a linelock installed next week which should solve this issue once and for all

My t/a with ET streets would mess the abs all up b/c the tires were different heights so it thought one end was going faster than the other
