Default ET Streets...how long do they last?

OK, since the ET Streets basically don't have any tread to begin with how do I tell when it's time for new ones?

mine lasted 4-5k driven daily on the street until they got too bald to hook any more

also... you should look into the "et street radial" it would be better suited for the street and it is hooking better for peopel than the et street does.

on slicks at 12 psi, rolling starts are lil iffy if you have torque, your car will swing back and forwarth the entire race

I asked someone that question, they replied that ET' Streets are the same. Unless he is referring to a specific brand. When someone says E.T. Streets are they referring to Mickey Thompson?

ET Streets are street legal slicks from Micky Thompson. They not even close to DR's they are pretty much full slicks. I would never drive those on the street...where as DR's I used to drive at least to and from the track with.

biggest I've seen is 18 and those are not worth it IMHO either way too big wheels for drag racing.
You don't want to drives those daily anyway so invest in a good light pair of 15" wheels and get 15's or if you have a track 16's

yes MT et streets

if they were asking about BFGs they would say BFG DRs

if they were asking about different DOT legal slicks they would ask about the et street, hoosier quicktime pro, M&H etc etc

i have run 10.5 et streets, 10 inch et drags, and 11.9 inch M&H muscle car drag tire, which is a dot slick as well. I enjoyed dailying on them. on the interstate you went 20+ psi or else it sways like a snake down the road

I have driven in torrential rain, snow and slight rain in them. it depends on the kind of driver you are

do not drive in any of that at highway speeds!

mickey thompsopn is making a sportsman pro drag radial in a 19... you have to fish around on their site forit... i think it might be quite wide though.

also check and see if they are making a nitto 555R II, same compound as the drag radial but stiff sidewall for handling and road track

MT has three drag tires the ET Drag (Slicks), ET Street (Slick with a tread pattern) and ET Street Radials (more streetable and similar to BF) I was told that the ET Street Radials are better than the Nitto's and as good as the BF but wear better than the BF, we shall see I ordered some ET Street Radials in 275/40/17.

I'm still trying to figure out how ET Streets are DOT approved. It's basically a full slick with a few dotted lines for a tread pattern!

I just called Micky Thompson about the wear and tear and basically here's what they said:

they should last for tons of runs
you should rotate them about every 5 runs or if you see your 60' foot declining
if the 60 foot keeps getting worse that's a sign to replace them
and of course if you see the material under the rubber....

Interesting mine def need to be rotated. With -2.1 degrees camber you can see the insides are wearing fast. Thanks for calling....

If you're only using them on the track, they will probably last longer than you keep your car. You could probably make more than 300 passes on them assuming you don't do excessive burnouts.
