FYI: I just got kicked off the track last week for not having long enough Hub Bolts for the Pro Stars. I had to buy some Nismo 60 mm ones...
It's actually quite risky running the pro stars on the stock studs. since they do not go all the way outside the wheel and do not lock up into the lug nut's hex part which is not only and NHRA rule but could cause the wheel to come off.

the rule book states that the stud has to be threaded into the hex part of the lug nut at least the same diameter as the stud and that does not happen on the stock studs. I agree that it's probably safe especially since our cars are not that fast but the guy at the track was walking around with the book in his hand...not much I could do.
btw I have not been able to get the Weld Lug nuts open ended as 12x 1.25 anywhere I can only find those closed. Any idea where to get those?

There's an easy solution to this, just don't get your car teched with the slicks on. When I go to the track I always tech right away with my street setup and then go to the pits and switch to my slicks. Nobody in the staging lanes is going to be staring at your lug nuts since they don't give a rats @ss.

Im quite worried about braking my stuff too..
From what Ive learned your going to destroy, damage or, accelerate wear on one of two categories
a) Your entire driveline
b) your clutch
Depending on your launch style. Slipping the clutch is suppose to offer less shock to category A but increasing wear dramatically on category B. While dropping the clutch just does em all in...

The Z's only weakpoint in it's driveline is the rear half axles. With those upgraded (and a decent clutch) guys are pulling really disgusting 60' times and not breaking anything.

so i got everything mounted today, went to the track, first run scared of breaking things so i figured i would run with 18 psi and see what happened, i spun the hell outta them, second and final run, i tried 9 psi, good launch, hooked up well in first with N20 and ran outta nitrous, damnit!!! 13.000 at 102 lol nice trap speed...
now going 100+ and swaying back in forth is crazy as hell
what psi are you guys running yours at, i am thinking 12 13 and heat them up well.....?? anyone??
