Default This post belongs in drag racing but...

“Is it right?” Sure its right. Its your time slip and I venture to say that its one of your first. Whether you're running 13.54 or 14.54 doesn't matter. What matters is that you're out there having fun, being safe and pushing the Z as best as you can. Your technique (and times) will improve with experience.

Do you run at high altitude? 96 mph at sea level is waayyyy low trap even for a 1st run down the track. Buddy of mine here in MD ran 14.3 @ 99 his first run ever with a ton of wheel spin and a much worse 60ft......

No I'm sure it's the same Bristol. That's the best I have ever done. I didn't even launch my car I just pulled out, to keep the wheel spin down. But yeah with the altitude it is about 1 sec slower than most tracks.

I think thats about right. I know what you mean about the altitude. My track is at 3,000ft where I ran 14.9 stock. I have it down to 14.3 now.
