I was too harsh I shouldnt have said it is crap, but rather by my own high standards nothing to brag about....
you guys seem to forget to include elevation and air density, a 14.0 at one track can easiky be a 13.7 at another track.
I run consistend 12.1's at Cali Speedway but only 12.4's at LACR same driver same setup different elevation
Stock Z's out here run 14.4 if they are lucky...nothing to do with the car or driver
There are many factors involved

IMO at an average track at sea level 14.XX is crap. I went 13.80 @ 100.8 my first run ever with a crappy 2.1 60ft....actually I have never run in the 14's so...
.
.
Let me also mention i have only seen ONE 350z run a 13.9 at this track(all motor). I don't live in Cecil or whatever where most get to pull off 13's with great outdoor conditions, better preping.
I wasn't too impressed with 14.1(best run out of 15 passes which 10 times i have pulled same thing off.) but my 60' is good.

That is a huuge advantage helping you launch, but a disadvantage after the 60ft because of the weight. So for a stock Z with 19's, your times are right on....btw I dont live in Cecil-only run there occasionally. I ran my 13.7 stock at a so so track, not Cecil. Sorry if I came off harshly before man, I didnt mean to get down on you like I did
BTW any racing is abusing your $hit, you dont have to powershift to ruin tranny's.
. Affected acceleration also comes into play like you stated and i don't shift as fast as you do(PWRshift). I know i would hit 13's if i ran up where you live. Even w/ 19's.Don't forget humidity, heat come into play here in Florida. Statistically people yield lower dyno #'s tha people up north(all motor) and as a result lower higher drag times. My times are right on for what i have HERE...
I have my stocks back on BTW so i should be going back anytime soon as soon as the weather clears. Anyday now when it stops ****ing raining.
Not to interupt your i ran this - i ran that convo, but the guy running a Turbonetics Single turbo ran a 12.4 on street tires????? Just a stock Z with an off-the-shelf T-Netics ST kit??? WOW! Thats impressive!

The 06's run 19's in the rear.. stock form.. someone told me they saw a stock one go 13.7 at my track.. so 19's dont hurt too much.. as long as theyre light.. I'll find out next time I goto the track with my 19" Rays which by the way..weigh MUCH less than the stock 17's..
