But you never backed it up with anything close. Some would argue the clocks fawked up, or staged with the back tires, we will never know-1.5 60ft in a car with 260whp is VERY rare. But you could prove us wrong by doing it again, but you havent come close to that 60ft....

That reminds me of something funny: a few weeks ago when I ran at LACR I talked to another Z owner who was running 15 seconds with 2.3 and 2.4 60' all night he was all stock on street tires and he told me that he usually runs 1.5 60's when it gets a bit colder...I looked at him said "no you're not...' and had to just laugh...

PS Raptor...you at least have a time slip to back it up so this is not against you in any way.

After everything you have gone through with your car I wouldnt be so sure your timing is even retarded. You should buy one of those OBDII plugs to use with a lap-top or palm pilot and watch your timing and see if for sure they did. If not I guess you'll find out soon enough with a 125 shot. Do I believe you will pull a 1.7 60ft NA again? Yes. Maybe a high 1.6? Yes. A mid 1.5? Hell no....but Id love for you to prove me wrong.

Is it just me or do you notice that most people you talk to don't quite tell the whole story about their 1/4 mile times?

Those are MT ET Streets.

I just received my BFG DR's to start practicing for IDRC since they won't let you run on slicks. It'll be interesting how that affects my 60's

You gotta be kidding...you still think you cut a 1.5.

Let me recap your previous thread.

-that is .2 better than your car cut on every other pass
-you weigh too much with not enough gear nor enough power to cut a 1.57 60'
-if you ever even come close to backing it up, let me know I will eat my words. but im not worried AT ALL

oh wait a unicorn just ran behind me with a smurf, elf, and santa clause riding it and they had a money tree in their hands. oh and the unicorn shat out skittles...maybe you did cut a 1.5

If he doesn't hurry, I am going to beat him to it.

I have a friend with a set of slicks and wheels that fit.

ignorance is bliss. find one car on the planet with the same power level, gearing and weight as you that has pulled a 1.57 60' or better, that would probaby shut me up, you won't though. I know plenty of guys that pull those 60's, they also put down quite a bit more hp and torque than you, have a lot more gear(final drive and shorter side wall tires) full blown drag suspensions and a couple hundred pounds less race weight , they muust really suck compared to you

Gentlemen (and ladies if you are around...)
This thread was me posting my success on hitting my first 1.662 60' foot and it has become yet another flame fest between some completely unrelated parties.

can we please move on.
If raptor is the better driver I'm sure he'll hit another 1.5 if it was some fluke or just plain luck he still has a record of a 1.5 60' and that makes the Z community look good.

What ever the reason let's move on and unless you want to share my happiness for finally getting a consitend hang on how to launch my monster please move this to another thread.

Thanks guys

the only way to Cut consistent 60's is to log everything:
psi, launch rpm, and practice.

you are also going to need to make sure your susp is set up to react the same way to every launch

figure out what works and how you did it and it cuts down on guessing

1) If he knew it he would be able to repeat it so that point is completely mood.

2) if he wouldn't want to share than he/you have completely missed the point of a forum like this where we are trying to help each other get better at a FUN HOBBY.

2) and lastly: again please move this argument to a different thread
