Default New Best 60' = 1.662!

I went to Irwindale last night and did 8 runs, 5 in the 7's and 3 I couldn't hit 2nd gear (that's been happening a lot lately....)

Anyway, best run was a 7.79 with a 1.662 60' at 90 mph.

I'm very happy about the 60' foot but what I don't get is that I hit 7.77 with a 1.805 60' in the past...why is my ET not getting better?
I don't have the mid numbers on me but all are better than the prior run except my mph is going lower which comes with the better 60' but still I'd expect to get better et's. It was hot as hell as well

For whatever reason, weather, gas, your power must have been been off a little.

Great 60 foot though!

I had my best stock 60' when my power was off a little, or I would have run a 13.5.

I blamed it on the gas, as it felt a little off after filling up, prior to the track.

Great numbers. One day I’d like to see some quarter mile times. Do you have plans to run quarter mile? Do you do competitive drag racing or just test & tune?

I've done plenty of 1/4 runs, the 1/4 tracks around here are just at high elevations compared to Irwindale's 1/8 at sea level. Best 1/4 I've done at Calispeedway was 12.125

Wow that is a great launch, congrats. Maybe you shifted at different points on this run compared to before, or you just shifted a tad slower than you have before. BTW do you have an in-car vid of that launch I would love to see it from the drivers seat.....

thanks.
No video, I gave my camera to a buddy of mine since a friend of his in his 7 second supra was going to come and race me but when he found out I'm "only" doing 7.7's he thought I was not worthy....needles to say his best run was a 8.2 who's not worthy now....

The only videos I got from that night were from the outside and these were the 3 runs I couldn't hit 2nd

115.47 mph. My highest MPH was 118 though but that was only a 12.2 run...go figure

here's the helmet cam video of the 12.125 run again (I forgot to plug in mike so there's no sound)

not to burst your bubble but have you even hit 11's yet and if so what et?
There's so much more to hit 10's than a good 60 foot. You need a LOT of power.

No but based on my runs and times of cars with a lot less power... that's whats I'm going off of.....I've run a 12.7 at 118 with a 2.3 60ft on 19inch streets....I was burning out untill 80mph where I finally caught at the end of third...and my mph was still that high...so going off that..what do you think..??

I wish...
I've been there so many times saying: hey look at that guy he hit low 11's at 118...I can do that...but it never quite works that way

once you get proper rear wheels (et streets or at least dr's) you should hit low to mid 11's depending on the track you're at.
No matter what I hope you reach your goal (it's my goal as well...) makes us all look good.
Just get yourself some traction damn it
