Default 12s NA

How many people are in the 12s NA with street tires and what setup were you running to get you there... NOS doesnt count.

looks like none from what i have seen. you are going to need a good 105-106mph to get there and a mid-low 1.8 60'. Do-able, but difficult NA . I think if someone set out to do it, they could with the right combo, practice and conditions

I may be there soon. I've got the trap speed, according to Jackie, now I just need to get a few more bolt ons and perhaps nail a ridiculous launch.

Two on the boards.

SPL's car Sfarrah I think is his SN. 1.69 60ft and he went 12.9 @ 106

Raptorbh12 is th other. He will tell you he pulled a 1.5 60ft and ran 12.7 @ 105.XX, but anybody that knows anything about DR would question that(I think he staged with the back tires ). What I do believe he legitemately ran were 2 12.9's iirc. With 1.7 60ft's at almost 106mph-that was on a hot day so I do give him all the credit in the world, I dont want my above statement to turn into a "yes he did I saw it" thread.

I know there are supposedly a few others in Texas that Ive been told run 12's but they are not on the boards.

There has also been 1 guy that ran 13.0 @ 103 with a sick low 1.7 60ft, and 2 guys running a best of 13.1@ 104-107, me being one of them, and with a CRAPPY 1.96 60ft, and the highest I believe trap speed out of an NA Z with stock cams, stock headers, and stock clutch/fw. Also, I run with my passenger seat in, Raptor didnt Obviously if my car was set up for DR and I nailed a 1.7 60ft, Id be 12's for sure, especially with my trap speed.

I dunno, doesnt matter, we are too heavy, underpowered and dont have the gearing to cut a 60ft like that. Unless he does it again some time soon with no N20 then I wont believe it....

Oops, I didnt even catch that. The answer is no, no street tire Z that I have ever heard of has run 12's NA. I think I could do it with headers, and cams, but we'll never know.....

put as small and light a pair of front wheels as you can on the car....skinnies.....get some drag radials on 17's if you can....ditch as much weight as you can (obviously), maybe yank off the front bumper or remove a headlight for "cooler air"........dunno much else really other than all the bolt ons.

wow i so didnt stage with my back tires. I dont know what ide run on street tires and i probably wont ever know now. My timing in my ecu has been retarded for nitrous which is sold now, and my tires on my heavy 17" rims are wearing down so maybe ill make some runs once i get new ones in the rear. Also the slicks i ran that 1.5 60ft on are sold now and im regretting that very much. In all regards im doubting i could run even a 13.0 on my street tires, maybe pull off a 13.2 but thats it. I can give it a shot this friday though.

LoL ISMSOLUTIONS have a 5at too and he ran 12.62 and trapped 107 in his G coupe. Is that really possible? He told me his 3.92 gears made a huge difference. He has pulleys, cai and exhaust and performance heads and cams along with torque converter and valve body, but no headers, no cats and no plenum ( not sure if he has a ecu reflash or any type of a/f tuning). But dam 12.62?!?! Is that possible?? He seems like a really cool guy tho, gives alot of helpful advice and stuff. So i dont want to doubt him. What do you guys think??

I'm going to have to say that without a second pass with a 1.5 60' and the fact that your next best was in the 1.7s..that there was some sort of timing error on that pass. I've seen things like that at the track before. Someone runs an ungodly pass, but never duplicates it. This 9 second drag EVO II did something similiar at a track that I frequent...he usually pulls high 1.2 60's and on one..and only one pass he pulled a 1.0 60'...the difference between a 1.2 and a 1.0 60' is HUGE. Not to mention that 1.0 60's are what top fuel dragsters typically pull and his car doesn't get out anywhere near as hard as a top fuel dragster in the video where he supposedly pulled a 1.0.

A 1.5 60' is getting out of the hole rediculously hard. You need A LOT of power with that traction to pull off a launch like that. I'm expecting low 1.6s in the spring on slicks with my car...but I have a huge power advantage.

Just for comparison..my buddy has a head/cam, 150-shot LS1 that puts down about 550rwhp and near 600ft/lbs of torque..and he runs 1.5 60's on slicks...his launch is absolutely nuts...I doubt even on slicks that I could match his launch capability with my car.
