the worse my 60 foots, the worse my trap. such has always been the case.

on a hard launch on slicks my 1/8th mile mph always drops but the 1/4 is higher

i run 12 psi on slicks and 14 on nittos

If you are weaving, you are increasing the amount of time on the track and the length. Therefor, you increase the trap.
I don't think that weaving and the inherent increase in friction and drag would make the extra few feet that you add to the 1/4 mile give you any trap speed. The directional changes alone would bleed off speed.

Have you tried this??? It doesn't sound like something any reasonably intelligent person would do from a pure safety standpoint.

no, it wasn't done on purpose. On our track we have a pipe burried that is for run off. Where they covered it it left a white line. Kind of like a side line on the street. I used to move over to follow it before i realized i was sort of weaving. The time keeper pointed it out to me when he saw my traps rise that i must be weaving. If you deviate at all from a straight path, it will cause a small rise.
