To bad I couldn't get the tranny to shift into 3rd. Woulda been a low 12 sec. run.

I ran the 1.8 with drag radials at 25psi and a semi decent warm up. Im dropping the tires down to 22psi and trying to get line locks for the rear brakes... get the tires a little hotter and launch a little harder. Ill be at Atco on Tuesday if anyone in the local will be up there.

Did you spin at all on your 1.8 60' with the 25psi?

if you think you need line locks for the rear brakes, you might not want to get line locks...

No spin @ all, what so ever, but I did feather a little bit. My last run that night, 13.777; I dropped the clutch @ 6k RPM with 25psi and they did hop off the line...

Why wouldnt I want line locks? Any time I come near touching the brake they slow the rears down enough to bog in the box. Lock off the rears, light em up and stomp on the brake.

it actually locks brake fluid into the front brakes after you press them. not locking off the rears. pull the brake fuse also and you will be able to sit there and smoke them and barely press down the brake to hold yourself still...

i have my vdc removed from the car and it still bogs if i hit the gas and the brake

yes, thats why you when you do a burnout and hit the brakes it makes your car bog down

pull the brake fuse in the kick panel and you wont have that problem...

Until you really start getting some wheelspin...I'd refrain from dropping the pressure back down, it will only end up hurting your trap speeds.

search function on here answers a lot of questions...

brake fuse controls the brake lights and tell the computer to send less power to the engine when the brake and gas are pressed at the same time

if you try to powerbrake your car it will bog down unless you pull the fuse

Dont be a tool audible, Im no newb. I was under the impression that VDC was in control of that aspect of the Z, and that pulling the brake fuse in my non-VDC equipt car would do nothing. My apologies for my ignorance, but dont feed me that search line...

2.30X on my first run ever in my life same stuff as below

2.26 on my bone stock tires with 44 psi in them, 2nd run down a 1/4 mile of my life, 16X8 or 7.5 inch rims?
good year eagle 225/55R16 they are like random 120 mph limited tires. Automatic held the break and reved till 1k rpms, let off break and went.

my last run i broke my tires loose too much, too much pedal on the break torque and did a 2.33

"1.49 60' on Dunlop SP8000's...oh but it was my GSX (awd)...hahaha, just getting out of the breakin period for the Z, so we are taking it to the track on Thursday for some baseline runs..."
i was gonna say "God damn!"
