Well.... maybe next time!!
got off to a good start. got ready and made it out to the track. threw on my slicks and pulled up to the line, 1100 bottle pressure this time.
i did the sickest burnout.
i launched like crazy, with nitrous, shifted to second gear, and halfway through second gear, no more nitrous, WTF. nitrous is the most inconsistent crap ever.
here was my run... would have been sick!!
60' 1.674 very happy with that
330 5.006 almost 2 tenths faster than my 12.3 run
1/8th 7.793 still 1/10th and a half faster than my 12.3 run
1/8th 87.81 im losing it here
then all down hill from here, all motor all the way out and 4 degrees of timing out so its not even all motor

trap 104.79 now thats what i trapped on my last all motor run
i still have no idea what went wrong with the nitrous, i checked the fuses, switches, everything. i tried a second nitrous run with less pressure and it never worked again. i have to figure it out, i am thinking that it might have to do with the 3 grounds( N solenoid, F solenoid, relay) going to the little 18 gauge wire off the utec. maybe it just fried that wire
i ran all motor on my 3rd and final run...
i put 16.5psi this time and still bogged like crazy, the car completely stops after i leave the gate, then it hauls ***!!!

Damn, you were close to my 11.98 run, I had a 7.70 @ 88.XX 1/8 you were a tad behind. Would have been a 12.0XX....great effort though man, congrats on the 13.1 with a retarded timing NA map-although I only needed a 1.96 60ft to run 13.13
As far as the N20 goes, do you have a N20 filter? Maybe something clogged a solenoid?
Edit-BTW sick a$$ launch!!! I wish I had pulled that-its .09 faster to the 60ft than my 11 sec run.

yeah see i know my run would have been better than a 12.0 . we both actually ran the same 330' as briguymax on his 11.7 run, so you cant really tell by that mark. the nitrous actually stopped working in second gear. so my 1/8th mile is actually some NA power all the way through 3rd. that 1/8th mile trap is 1st gear with nitrous, second gear to about 6000 with nitrous and then 3rd gear NA with retarded timing. i am figuring i would definetly trapped around 90-91 in the 1/8th, my car was hauling ***. if you look my NA power with that retarded timing is weak, only trapping like 16 in the last 1/8th. i figured out the problem with the nitrous though in a dream i had last night. weird. i think i need to only hook up the relay for the solenoids to the utec. then have the actual two solenoids grounded properly. this is what i should have done in the first place, i probably melted the wire off the utec. hopefully everything internally still works for the spare solenoid switch on it....
i wish i could just get everything working right...
next time i will be running will probably be april 9th at the import drag wars. its too much of a PITA driving to the track and switching my slicks on every week.

yeah with my NA map, the timing is actually advanced 2 degrees, thats not the problem, the problem is i havent got my tuner wb yet so i am running the base I/E fuel map. i ripped my aem uego wideband sensor off the other day (dont ask) on a really tall speedbump. so my fuel is probably all over the place. i really wish i had shops down here like you guys have up there. we dont have anyone that really really knows what they are doing with this thing...
i have ran about 20 nitrous runs in the past year with two different cars and i swear i have only had one run i felt was perfect. its always something...
i wish i could just get everything working right...

i would think Geo on the board would be a good one to talk to in the future in our area. He has been at Titan for awhile and I thought he was getting into modding his z....who knows

Jeremy I am goign to run on April 9th as well. I'm taking the kit off the DSM and putting it on the z. I'm also goign to borrow my friends rx7 wheels and put some MT drag radials on them. If I could find some 15" wheels I would get slicks instead but I want to be able to drive to the track with them.
