Bone Stock Base Runs 2006
Yea...the clutch didn't like the 5k launch, but the 60' mark sure did...I'll tone it down the next time to about 2500-3000 and see what happens. I didn't have much time to experiment and this is the launch method I used in all my GSX's...500hp and AWD lends to a lot of broken drivetrain parts so tend to learn how to launch without breaking stuff or pay the price. You can say that it's engrained into muscle memory...
If you do it correctly, no issues. People thinks its so bad, in reality you cant prove me lifting on the shift is gonna give me or anybody XXX amount if miles over powershifting. No tranny issues in over 30K miles, and stock clutch was still grabbing 3rd like it was new at 53K miles...think what you want. BTW I havent broken anything yet
Edit-btw Im not an advocate of powershifting, I actually tell people who ask for advice not to do it, I do it because its my personal preference...

Do you mind elaborating on how to powershift correctly on a drivetrain that was never designed for it? To me that's like saying you can go offroad racing in our Z's if you do it correctly.
Well, every time you do a powershift your synchros are calling you a bad name and hoping you die....I learned to rebuild my own tranny, so replacing busted gears and synchro's are no sweat, but when the gear goes flyin ouside of the case and leaves a hole in the tranny is when the new ones were ordered, hahaha.

Wow, such attitude. I guess that could have been expected from someone who takes drag racing a 350z seriously.
It was a perfectly acceptable question that got a perfectly childish response.
The egos around car forums are enough to make a person sick.

If you took it as smartass, I apologize for coming off that way. I was not trying to instigate anything and I was not "throwing stones".
Is that how you respond every time someone questions you?
I'm sorry Mr. 350z drag racing god, I will try not to threaten your ego again.
My sincerest apologies.

Nice job making this thread worthless-you can question things all you want, but you came off like a smart a$$, you were responded to in that manner-then you complain, what a hypocrite...
I'm not the one who got my panties in a bunch because someone questioned me. I asked a question and offered an analogy to explain my POV, and you responded by telling me I'm making gay worthless smartassed posts. You're the one who stepped out of line.
You also didn't offer any facts to support your stance, rather he said she said BS.
Way to go alberto, demanding the respect you deserve!
