most ppl say 2500-3500 launch if your running street tires. maybe get a few practice launcges on a deserted street before you go?

if this is not your first time at the track i would guess u would run low 14s to high 13s. i usually launch at around 2800 rpms.

turn off TCS. When I go to the line, I do a quick rolling burn-out (a few rotations) to ge tall the debris off the tires. I'd say the first few times not to worry about your R/T (reaction time) and just work on the launch.

sounds right to start with. It'll take work to launch the car correctly - since you're on street tires, you'll want to feather the clutch rather than just dumping it. If you get traction with a 2500 RPM launch, try 3K, if no traction try a lower rpm or feather the clutch more.

Lights:
there are 2 staging lights ('pre-stage' and 'stage'), you'll roll up and make both sets of staging lights go on...that means you're staged.

then there are 3 larger yellow lights that will count down 1 at a time, on the 3rd yellow light (last light before the green) launch the car...by the time you react to the 3rd yellow light and the car starts to move, the green will have already flashed...if you wait to react to the green, you'll have a super slow reaction time. Average reaction times are around 0.2 - 0.3 seconds...really good ppl can get consistantly and considerably lower.

In the end, just have fun and get used to it. My first few times I was so nervous and excited...don't worry about messing up - everyone watching was a first timer at one point.
