Engine temp. guage
When turning the car on, I notice the temp guage slowly starting to rise after a few minutes of idle/driving. The thing is, it never comes to the halfway mark (like I've seen in other vehicles); it stays a bit below the halfway mark, even when racing the car. Just wondering what it takes to heat up the engine, so I'm asking you guys who drag/track your car for hours: does it heat up a good amount?
Thanks
Thanks

the stock gauge sucks, it will read the same from 170-200... i have the utec numbers to prove it
mine sits right under halfway ALL the time, once you get over 200 it will start rising.
it takes about 3 minutes of easy driving for the car to warm up...

i have an autometer water temp guage. when i had both it and the factory hooked up, the autometer would change 30*, while the factory would stay in one spot.
when i first bought the cobra, it was all jacked up. the water temp guage would read in the 220 range and the factory would be well below half way. alot of factory guages in vehicles are dummy guages(on/off). although i do like the oil pressure guage in the z.
