I would check into that more if I were you. If you are launching hard on slicks or DRs, it could help a lot with chassis twist. Since the Z was designed with that bar from the factory, I wouldn't feel comfortable assuming that the frame would hold up to that without it. For the weight of a bar that connects the two, I would say it is worth it. Even if its just one that bolts to the top of the rear perches and not integrated into the cage.

i am taking all the sub frame braces out and putting them back in with solid mounts, then i am putting in all solid diff mounts, i dont think there will be too much flexing, the bars going back welded to the main hoop are going to keep it in there pretty nice. i will see as soon as i drive it and launch a little hard to see how it feels. it would be easy to add for sure...

Ok, that sounds alot better. With all of that, chances are you wil be fine without the brace. Good luck!

Are you getting your solid diff bushing from SPL? I know they plan to make the solid subframe bushings, but not sure when they'll be ready. I've been running the solid diff bushings for months now with no issues other than some added diff whine.

That cage looks amazing-mind if I ask you what it set you back?

actually, i am taking out all the bushings and having a guy around here make them all, then i will just sell them for cheap or what they are really worth without trying to rip everyone off cause they have a Z. i will be doing the subframe bushings as well.

cage cost me about 1800 total. if anyone wants the bars for the exact cage, they have all the bends on computer and they can bend one up ready to go, then just have your welder take care of the welds, OR you can drive down to orlando and let your car sit for a few weeks...

Any idea on the price of the bars alone? Driving to Orlando is out of the question for me.

If opinions are welcomed here I would have to say that it look like a lot of work. Which is probably true. My next question is do you have a 9 second car or are they your goals? I guess to each is own, that is a bit extreme for me but I wish you the best of luck in ventures.

That's nuts man, when I look at the Z in those conditions.......
I just compare it to a small helpless boy being sodimized over and over...
Yeah, it's that bad..... But hey gotta do what you gotta do to run 9's, rape away!!

yes i have goals of running 9s here in the near future. i was going to get a 5 point roll bar welded in but figured why have the car down two times if i am fortunate enough to get some traction...

i dont have any time off till wed but after that it is looking good on making some progress...
