Default Time slip from Mason Dixon ( first time on Slicks )

Hey Guys,

I did beat my old time of 13.54 so i was happy about that. But launching on slicks is a whole new world than i am use to. I need more practice and i know i can get my time down alot. Only was able to get 4 runs in.

My best run of the night was a 13.45 at 104.11

There is alot of improvment to be made in my 60ft ( 1.896 ) I was reving up between 4500 and 5000k and launching. Everytime the car would bog down and then pick back up. Guess i need to rev of higher.

Right now the mods i have on my car are:

Dc sport Headers
pullies
No Cats
Injen Exhaust
Flywheel
Intake
Utec

I dont have a Plenum right now since i sold my Kinetix SSV. Once i get a spacer or something, im sure that alone will help my times out.

Here is my Time slip.

Cool... with slicks you can achieve a 1.70 in the 60ft. with that you can see a12.9 in the 1/4... every .10 in the 60ft is a avg. of .20 less in the 1/4 mile

Very nice, I think with cooler weather you can def run faster on that 60ft, but good showing for 1st time. Curious, what did the SUpra run and at what mph?

Thanks Bert

The Supra's best run was a 11.4 i believe. His best MPH was 127.

I had 18 lbs in the tires and it was around 90 degrees on Sunday. Once it cools down and i get a plenum spacer i will do better. Learning curve for me right now.

hey bro, good job, little tip with the slicks, first of all heat them up really really well, try to heat them up the exact same, if you are bogging then add air in them.

i normally held it at about 4500 then floored it right when i was about to launch, hehehe

plus you have a good clutch

nice though, yeah you could run some 13.0-13.1 with a 104 mpb for sure. possible on a really good launch pull some 12.9s

plus you are picking up 24 in the last 1/8th, thats great!! keep it up...

I might have to give that a try. 4 runs just was not enough seat time. I know i can do better. Going to get a plenum and head back.

So how many runs did you do on slicks until you got a good time NA??

I was also racing Sunday. The temperature was increasing but the humidity was holding steady. I kept my dial-in close to my practice ET.

The round against #25 was so close (32/1,000 seconds) that I could not tell who won. Unfortunately when I lose a race I have to pack my stuff and go home.

I ran my 13.13 my 2nd run on slicks, first run was a 13.16 I guess I have a quick learning curve. You will def improve with time though, like Jeremy said the car is pulling hard. Did you try taking some weight out? Run LOW gas?

What was your 60 ft with those runs?

Yeah, i took the spare tire out and all the matts. The gas was at almost empty. Did not take the passenger seat out. Must be that heavy *** spoiler slowing me down
