1st ever trip to the drag strip.
Car: 2003 Base Black 350Z.....stock (other than the front sway bar. Stock rims, with 400 treadwear all-season tires.)
R/T: .012
60': 2.200
330: 5.954
1/8: 9.012
MPH: 80.87
1000: 11.639
1/4: 13.838
MPH: 104.21
How is this for a stock Z, first ever time drag racing? Where can I improve?

Did you jump the gun with that reaction time? I'm probably wrong, but i thought a perfect reaction time was .500?? Or maybe that's just something stupid they do at the track up here in Minot North Dakota. The only track near me is a 1/8, and with a 9.01, that's pretty damn good.

Again, like the post above yours, i thought a perfect time was .500? So anything less than that, would be jumping the gun and give you a red light. Found this during a google search: I guess we're both right??

Congratulations.
The car is running strong: you are picking up 24 mph in the second 660 feet. Your problem is typical of new racers: 60 foot time. 2.0 seconds is possible with street tires and practice. With practice you can run better than 13.63 seconds.

i have never heard of a bone stock Z trapping 104, thats really good for bone stock. hmm.. and you have a full system in there. do you have your time slip?

back in the day reaction time used to be based on a .500 tree, recently they changed it to a .000 tree, either way it has NOTHING to do with your quarter mile time unless you are bracket racing...

I'm unsure if I could get a better 60' because I was either spinning tires and wheel hopping, or bogging.... keep in mind that the tires are 400 treadwear all-seasons.....worse than stock. (for drag.)
I'm going to take a picture of my slip and put it on photobucket and post it now.
Oh, and a perfect R/T at Rockingham is .000
I work at a gravel truck depot. I wash the car, and before lunch it's covered in gravel dust.

Well, I'm quite happy with my time then! I've been autocrossing for about 4 years, never once tried drag racing, but I was talked into it. You know what will really eat you up? I trapped 104mph on a 14.0 run as well 
I also had two 13.9 runs with a 103 trap.... the difference to me was first gear..... the run I went 13.8 with 104 hooked up the best, bogged the least, and didn't spin at all.
What difference does an LSD make for drag?
