Question Steering wheel airbag

Hi all!

Just bought a 350z that has an aftermarket steering wheel. To be able to register it it has to have an airbag, and this one doesn't. I want to buy a used steering wheel with an airbag but I've found that some of the steering wheel airbags have two connectors on the horn (yellow and orange) and some have one connector (yellow). My car has two wires, yellow and an orange, all the steering wheels I found on ebay or other reseller sites have just the 1 yellow connector. What's that all about? I couldn't really find any info about that online. Anyone know what each of those wires are for? Or if specific years have different wiring?

Thanks!

On USDM Z33s, I've only seen the two wire airbag connectors. Is your Z a Euro-spec car? Maybe there is a diiference between the two, but if you have a two wire connection, that's what you'll need. Is it difficult to buy a used OEM steering wheel in Croatia?

My Z is JDM spec. It's possible that euro spec ones have the 1 wire connection, judging by the listings I found on ebay from Germany and UK. I didn't find one locally since Croatia is a very small marked, especially for these sorts of cars. I did find one on a German marketplace that is JDM spec but is in really rough shape. Going to have to do some more digging today to try to find a nice one, or order the rough one and reupholster it. I'm wondering what the difference is in these connections and why was it made, I'll try to search a bit more.

This turned out as kind of a frustrating story. I ordered a steering wheel with an airbag from ebay, it arrived and I was all happy about to install it when I realised that the bracket that the airbag mounts to is missing. I only received the steering wheel and the airbag, without the required bracket. Anyone know where I can get one of those?

Left image is what I have, and what I'm missing is the metal plate with the TL from the right image.

Since you don't have an original wheel to pull parts from, your best option is to get the piece you need from a salvage yard as I don't believe Nissan sells individual parts of the steering wheel...that or Ebay. It's very strange that the piece is missing, that ring is used for your horn (spring loaded, completes circuit when pressed). So the replacement wheel you got never had that, meaning someone's been there before. I hope the airbag hasn't been tampered with. You could try negotiating with whoever sold the replacement steering wheel, maybe they have the part, or could at least offer a return or partial refund. If you purchased through Ebay/Paypal, you have protections.
Good Luck!
