Bit of a noob in regards to Z's but my old lady just bought an 05' Touring and I've developed a fondness for it as well . What is everyone pulling 60' ft. wise in their 6-speed cars with either street tires or drag radials? I made my first and only pass of the evening resulting in a dismal 14.2 @ 100mph with an even more horrid 2.3 60' ft. spinning on blizzack winter tires. My other concern is the mph seems a bit low. I've seen numerous BONE stock Z's gone 100-101 mph on hotter days. Although the mods are limited to an Injen CAI and cat-back exhaust I would expect at least 102-103mph traps. Your trap speed is pretty average, I've seen higher and I've seen lower. The best DR 60' I know of is a 1.70 on an 18" BFG, but that car is a twin turbo I'm not sure if that is of interest. Actually that car pulled a better launch than that on it's next pass but it didn't get reflected on the timeslip because he rolled forward a few inches and tripped the lights prior to actually launching it, so the 60' showed up as like a 1.85 or so, but it is distinctly clear on the video that the "1.85" launch was superior to the 1.70 launch.

 

100 plus mph is fine. Your 60-foot times are hurting both the ET and trap speed.

What do other members run on street tires? My time slips are posted throughout this forum.
