Never mind. I just discovered that you do not drive a 350Z. Members here are serious about drag racing. Don't post stupid pie-in-the-sky what if questions.

sorry for asking a 350Z related question on a 350Z forum and maybe you can learn to read cause my origanal post said my friend thinks he can beat a stock Z with his stock SRT-4. i did not say my Z but A Z.

Also i am searching for a used Z right now but i only have 20,000 to spend at the moment. if i sell my civic i will have like 25 to 27 which will get me a much nicer car. i just have to wait for a buyer. should sell fast. so sorry alberto and Davidv for not owning it yet and im very serious about drag my civic runs mid 13 with 15 psi. just always wanted a Z so i figure i would get a adult sports car rather than waisting my time with the honda which will probly blow in a few years anyway. don't know why im really explaining this to you any way. ill go and check out some other Z forums and maybe i will find someone who can read a post.

for everyone else thanks for the info and not the sarcasim

Civic with 15psi and runs mid 13's? I could drop in a GSR motor in most any Civic and run that with bolt-ons.

thats nice but i don't have that kind of cash to just go out and buy bigger motors so i work with what is in front of me and that was a jdm d16A sohc vtec and mid 13s in a sohc is pretty decent i think.

jdm sohc + turbo kit + guages/tuning is cheaper than a simple B18c1 swap? Ok....

I have to smile to keep from getting frustrated.

The most annoying people at the drag races are those without wrist bands (not racing) who come over to your car to check it out. They are always building something that is faster: as soon as I get my this or that. I call them soonasses. I respect a guy in the other lane busting his *** running a 16.5 second Honda. But the soonasses get no respect.

Race what you brought.

i just don't understand why you trip over me asking a question and how i don't own a z. i didnt read anything about owning a z to be able to post and ask some questions about the car on this forum. i ask alot of questions about the car before i buy and research alot about it too. me and my buddy were just having a disscussion about who would win so i thought i would ask and sorry i pissed anyone off just wondered.

also the reason i can olny afford a 20,000 Z right now is cause i just got married bought my second house. the new house is much bigger than the first because we plan to have kids. so i went from $400 house payment to a $800 one + all other bills are more exspensive because of the bigger space. sorry im not rich.

Listen, when the Z and SRT4 were developed, their "official" quarter mile times were obtained by experienced drivers... start at www.edmunds.com and compare these two cars--all of your questions should be answered there.

If you still have other questions feel free to use the search function at www . 350zmotoring . com

it seems that it would be a good race but thanks for the info cajun.

and yes sohc + greddy turbo kit was cheaper than the B18 swap for me. mainly cause i already had the D16A from another car of mine plus i had most of the turbo kit too. i was piecing together a kit for my d16Y8 crx but i sold it before i put it on. the jdm motor came out of another civic i bought and some jackass recked it for me. i bought alot of stuff off ebay and traded and haggled with friends to get the rest of the turbo kit and paid a guy to tune it.thats why it was cheaper. u just assume you know everything huh
