Default new PB, much more to come...

well... went to the track pretty much for the first time since i got the whole new setup on slicks where i had some time to make a pass or two. there was a couple bad wrecks out there and a couple people blew their motors up. i got there at 1030 am and didnt make my first pass till 230pm. this was during the day in florida with 80 degree weather, we dont get cold days in Nov .... first pass today on my brand new 28 inch slicks. it was ok, i had soo many things to do when i got there that i forgot to pull out the stupid brake fuse. i went to do a burnout and it killed the power to the motor. stupid nissan

11.2 at 127.5 this sucks cause the car is much much faster, when i get into the mid-top of 4th gear, the revs build up way too fast and then when i shift into 5th , i hit the rev limiter immediately. clutch is FRIED!!! but only at a lot of boost in the upper gears. 5th gear didnt even go any where. after doing some gear calculations, 4th gear goes around 128 with my 28 inch slicks that measured 27.2 inches tall on the car. so when i shifted into 5th about 200 feet short of the finish, it just slipped right to the rev limiter.

here are some pics, i am going to try to go there and launch harder, i am still on stock axles. i think i might go next week and try some 6000 launches and push it a little harder. the clutch holds in the lower gears for some reason. both runs were lauched between 4000-5000 and riding the clutch just a bit, didnt want to dead hook and snap my axles.

anyways, i am happy with the car, it pulls like CRAZY in gear, it was pulling 30 mph on friday night with the one run i got it, that was at 15.5 psi and the clutch holding. todays runs peaked at 17 psi but fried the clutch. cant wait to put the new tranny in!!!! these runs were pulling close to 28 but still pretty good...

Damn man.. Good stuff. I wish i could have made it today.

Car is uber fast.

I mentioned it was a great thing Jeremy still has LOTS of room for improvement with the TH400, nitrous, a bit more boost, and maybe an upgraded race fuel map. 9's here Jeremy comes.

im sure the clutch is slipping in the low gears as well, just not as noticeable. ive seen it a bunch where you cant feel it. the car is making great power to have these issues and still trap almost 130.

oh and it looks great with the 28" tires tucked like that. you should try and find some of those discontinued xp draglites in 16 or 17s for the front

Awesome Jeremy!. Sorry I missed it. Great pics too.

They're gonna have to change the name of the track to Orlando Wreckworld.

If the tranny comes out, there will be no clutch replacement. It'll be TH400 time I think he might try next Fri. as well. Hell I might see what the stock 5AT can handle on Fri. as well.

Put an auto in that thing and life will be much easier and quicker. Nice runs though.

Slightly off topic, but I witnessed a C6 Z06 run an 11.2@126mph this last weekend. Mods? Drag radials and long tube headers in 1100' DA conditions. Wow.
