It's going to be a Blue HR Z hopefully the conditions will be nice enough for me to land some really low 13s and not some BS that happened at Cecil last time. Again sorry if i was misleading some of you guys by saying I might go to MIR, i'm going to Cecil fo sure so come on out. ($35.00 to enter so you won't see the crappy cars there most likely breaking down on the track like on Fridays).
You think they are bad you should try Capital......Last time I was there from 5-10pm there were 2 breakdowns that each took over an hour to clean up. One was a 100ft long trail of antifreeze.....took them almost an hour and a half to clean it up.

I will definately by at MIR sunday (coming up from Va) if you decide to come there also. Do you need a helmet there?

I'll be in the DP coupe with the ST VQ35 plates (used to be FI).

Nice all the hard work has finally started to pay off. Who was driving you or your girl?

AJ what RPM do you shift at when racing your Z? I might try different shift points now that I have the transgo.

I usually shift at 6800-7000 my rev limit is 7200.

Do they rent helmets at MIR?

There is a website which will tell you your optimum shift points after plugging in torque values. This academic website worked for my HR very well I shift at 7200 RPM 1st-2nd gear and 7345 after each point. Since you REV limiter is different you should plug in your torque values for your dyno sheet or for your year models dyno if you don't have one. Good luck!

Thanks for the link. According to that I'm shifting too high. I'll do a couple runs at what they recommend and where I usually shift. Hopefully I'll do better.

Yeah if it's saying that you are OVER REVING than most likely you are losing power and time on your E/T obviously. Trust me that link uses calculations to set a designated spot for you to rebound back into optimum points after each shift. Try to do at least 3 runs with their SHIFT points. In my case from personal experience their shift points helped me improve by 0.2 in my E/T and about 1 mph in the trap which is significant that's how much I would have gained with basic bolts on. Any way keep in mind the first couple times I did not get any improved times it took at least 3 runs to get better results because I was over analyzing and missing some of their designated shift points. So yeah just relax and try to nail everything down to the book should definitely see better times.

I was driving of course lol. She needs ALOT more practice.

I usually shift as close to redline (6500 for me) as I can. According to my dyno my car holds power all the way up to redline.

I dont know if MIR rents helmets or not.
