Top 25 1/4 Mile Times For ( TT, ST, SuperCharger, Nitrous, Bolt-ons, Stock )
15" wheels, for the most part, will clear the non-Brembo Z rears. Many 16" wheels will clear the Brembo Z rears.

40 years ago, when I was young, when we saw a fast car we came over to see & find out what the person is running. Today all I see are lists of mods, dyno charts & predictions of what the car should do at the track. Once I saw an STI with its hood open, when I asked about the car, the young man told me it was one of the most powerfull STI's in the country. I asked how fast it was, he didn't know, he told me he doesn't race. It started raining, he still left the hood open, so we could see all the crome & pipes under the hood.......

you dont see many Z/G at the track because they are not good strip cars. This is the only forum I read where a 1.8sec 60' time is exceptional. In the supra, Evo or GN forums, they are sad if they dont cut 1.5s or less.
Between the suspension, gearing, weight, and transmission, most people would rather be bench racers.
Either way, i get in about 100+ 1/8th mile passes a year (1/4 mile tracks are 100+ miles each way-- too far) and its a blast everytime I go!

Str8dum1 have you ran at benson yet with your new set up? I'm telling you if you have the time get out to kinston dragstrip on tnt night. I don't know the rock's schedule since that is the other track besides coastal plains in wilmington.
I will be organizing a Z drag meet here is the link:

I'm 110% with ya there. In my circle of friends, it doesn't matter if you have a mildly modded bolt-on G35, or an 800whp Procharged Vette... we all enjoy going to the track and racing to see what we got. Dyno's are great to measure the engine's abilities. But once you have those numbers, take it to the track and see how the driver stacks up to those numbers. I had my G35 at the strip within a week of its purchase.

Its like having a healthy ***** but not wanting to use it

Those with "built block" written next to it are the ones who specifically told me or Aceman (when we were in charge on the list) that their block was built. I doubt anybody was trying to hide the fact that their block was built, so you can probably assume that those without the "built block" are stock blocks.
And yes, the driver does make a huge difference. Being built doesn't automatically make you a faster driver; it only increases the likelihood that your block will last longer and/or hold more boost.

Very touching. Made my day.
