40 years ago, when I was young, when we saw a fast car we came over to see & find out what the person is running. Today all I see are lists of mods, dyno charts & predictions of what the car should do at the track. Once I saw an STI with its hood open, when I asked about the car, the young man told me it was one of the most powerfull STI's in the country. I asked how fast it was, he didn't know, he told me he doesn't race. It started raining, he still left the hood open, so we could see all the crome & pipes under the hood.......
BS...There were NO fast cars 40 years ago...

That's it? I'd expect more MPH from that much work. I trapped almost 101mph bone stock.

What size are the wheels/tires?

Heavier than stock?

Blame it on the driver! The car is very fast. I haven't learned how to launch it yet. But I am making progress. Wheels are lighter then stock.

19" all around +22 offset. 9.5" front 10.5" rear

Toyo TR1's 275 rear 255 front I ran 24 psi in the rear tires.

Tylerfire bailed and didn't make it.. Blame it on the wife I wanted him to do a pass or two with my car.

I know with drag radials and an experienced driver it would be in the #1 position on here.

There are 03's turning 101mph bone stock, but drag racing is about quick not fast. You can't win a race with trap speed.

Trap speed is an excellent indication of power. His car, with mods and gears, should easily be outtrapping my stock Nismo. By a lot. I also did my passes in terrible weather conditions, there are plenty of HR's trapping higher than me stock.

I still managed a 13.9, and the car had more in it if I had another run or two, just ran outta time.

Your driving wasn't terrible, yeah the launch isn't great, it just seems like the car is not picking up mph in the back half like it should, considering the mods you have. Slip reads like it's down on power or heavier than it should be.

My friends Zim's car turning almost 105 mph is perfect, exactly what a 13 sec. FLAT car should turn. All he needs is tires(traction) & more practice.
As far as your 08 Nismo breaking 14 sec. & ALMOST going 101 mph is nothing to brag about In 09 I bought a used 04 350z enth. with ONLY 245/17's Nittos, I didn't give it a second thought when I was turning 13'8's at 99-100 mph with apx. 50 hp less than you. In my opinion ONLY, a stock or bolt on Z with decent traction that doesn't break 13 sec. & goes 108-111 mph could be going down hill .

Er.....Sometimes.......but I guess you didn't notice his final gear ratio. My Z turns mid to high 12's and I have never run over 104. I have 3.5 rear end and 351rwhp...never, never over 104mph and I have hundreds of runs. What's up with that then? There is a lot more to it than hp. BTW: 13.9 sucks for a HR. My 03 did 13.8 with 226rwhp.

My timing is excellent, that is how I get there faster. I could care less about trap speeds.
