As Armitage mentioned, RT (reaction time) matters when competing. Above #141 crosses the finish line .0685 seconds before #504K (on the bottom of the time slip “left 1st .0685). #141 wins.
Edit: I just noticed that this is a weird time slip. #504K red-lights. #141 breaks-out. The red-light is the more serious foul. #141 wins!

I'm going to get back out to the track as soon as I can to try to improve my times before I start modding.
Just as an fyi, the right lane was a G35.

I wasn't going to R/T, trying to feel the car out and get good 60's, the car next to me was an 80's Monte Carlo with built 350 and slicks. I'm car #90, and am BONE stock (included spare)

I felt a possible 1.9-2.0 with the grip the track had, and below a 13.5 if I got perfect shifts...

And on that launch - I staged to pre-stage, revved the car to 5000 RPM's, pulled the e-brake a bit so I wouldn't late stage (barely get to full stage - hurts R/T but helps times ) rolled the car a bit while revved, when the start lights lit I dropped the e-brake and got ready, slipped the clutch SLOWLY - it feels really brutal but too fast and its all over. Key is to be smooth, don't floor it, and don't let the engine fluctuate wildly in RPM, if the tires aren't chirping let it out faster, if they are let it out as much as possible without spinning. Grip varies and it will take some feeling out (only got 2 tries at this since I forgot TCS the first time ).
I don't think the RE050's have any more grip persay, I just am used to driving an open diff car with no low end torque so I have done 40+ 4000-5000 RPM slip launches resulting in 2.1-2.2 times in a car with 100 less tq or hp and about the same weight (and smaller tires). I'm used to this technique just not the car. I'm going for at least a 13.50 - its completely possible as long as the temps aren't above 80, and some cool down time before running could help there.
