Thanks! Thats good stuff there potatohead (sounds like I am trying to insult you lol). I am a bit reluctant to try power shifting with my Z since the rev limiter comes on what it seems to be just below redline. I think for a Z it would do more bad than good.

From the people that have ran at the strips on this board does anybody know if they are going with the normal shift method or the power shifting method? I would imagine that power shift in a Z would be hard to pull off given the aggressive rev limiter..

I haven't powershifted mine yet, but I am sure I will try it out later on. I have only 750 miles so far but I have let it loose a few times. My friend just got a sizable Turbo (T34OS??) on his 92 240SX w/Silvia motor, etc. He "says" it should be good for low 12's and it dynoed here in Dallas on Sat. at 326 RWHP without tuning at 15lbs. That's in a 2600 lbs car.

Anyways, the hardest I have gotten on my car is when we ran after he left the turbo place. He pulled me, but not nearly as bad as I thought he would. I need to call him to see if he had the pedal buried or not. I doubt it. If he did, then I think I can def. pull a 13.5 or so here in Dallas since we are like 350-400ft above sea level.

Anyways, if powershifting is something you want to try, just initiate the shift sooner so that when you let the clutch out you are nearing redline rather than putting the clutch in near redline. I think I read on here that this car makes peak numbers like 1K RPM before redline. So you may as well put your cllutch in there, shift and let the revs shoot up a grand (at most - that's a lot for a shift) and hit the next gear right in the sweet spot of the RPM range. Good luck! Post results.
