Default ROFL @ kwik car, sigh, no freakin wonder

at the drag stripe recently all i got was wheel hop during launches. the day before i had just gotten my oil changed at kwik car. one of the service guys noticed my front passenger tire was low on air so he proceeded to fill it up and the rest of the others. just checked the tire pressure today out of curiosity, they all read 42psi, rofl. now, the z is my first manual so i knew i would suck but this certainly didnt help. sigh.

Thats sucks...
Thats why I usually stop at a gas station by the track and lower the tire pressure, check the car, etc,etc...
I got burned like that in my old Z28 once....

Oh well...you'll get it next time

final run feathering the clutch, weak launch but no wheel hop 2.38 60ft.

TCS will choke your cars performance (someone thought it was a good idea to gain traction this way)

I mean.... I've accidentally tried cleaning the tires off with VDC on and felt like an idiot.

Wouldn't lower tire pressure reduce wheel hop and increase traction anyway

Nexx, where were you when the rest of us were lowering our tire psi's? I lowered mine and told walkert and kwiker to do the same.

Also, you should let off the accelerator when you experience wheel hop.

edit- I remember you coming late, so that's probably why you missed it.

Don't worry though, it does take some time to get used to... Have you ever been to the track before?

Practice makes perfect.
