yeah, what do u know, with ur weaksause sleeved and tt'd 03 z /sarcasm

but on a serious note, its still pulling hard at and passed 7k, power drop off gets noticable about 7300-7400rpm

i'd really love to try every combo possible, but if the track is open on sunday, it will prolly be packed, i'll be lucky to get 5 runs in

edit-btw standard vq's and revups peak at 6200rpms...

So if you have to grab 4th in the 1/4 anyway, then a shorter Final Drive should take off a couple tenths, right? How much would this FD improve acceleration? (hopefully no wheelspin in 1st at high-rpm)

I am thinking the 07 with 3.917 FD would be the hot ticket...

interesting... I shift from 3-4th at 95 in my Z at 7K redline ( 06 ).. Gas cuts for me at 7200 though so I think I could get maybe 98-100 out of it, but it would be useless since the power for my Z falls off at 6500.. I usually get the best pulls by shifting at around 6900 through all gears...

03 FTMFL! Haha.. Jus joke berto.. you should post one of your runs on here so they can see what kind of a maniac you are behind the wheel.. Quite an impressive driver actually.. Nissan needs to make a tranny you can't break though

I don't get it the 07 G35 sedan uses the 3.9 final ratio. The 07 Z uses the 3.5!?

Just for comparison I drove an 07 5AT today (its the first one we've had). The first thing I noticed was that in full auto mode it wouldny shift at redline like my 03 does (when I had the stock FD). So then I shifted it manually and noticed the fuel cutoff right at 7500!

Sounds like you're gearing is similar to mine... i have to hit 4th just before the traps as well... 3rd on my car ends ~103mph.

Anyone have full trans ratios? I can chart it out on www.f-body.org/gears
