First off good morning and I dont know about all of you but I have a real nasty hang over..... Anyway so here the question my friend and I had a drunken battle last night about what would win my 350z with exedy carbon twin plate clutch and 19" volks but basically stock or his 94 Acura Nsx with 18" ssr and exedy carbon twin plate clutch, eibach suspension and also pretty much stock. Also just to let you know this is not a street racing fourm this is going to be done a drag strip. So help me out before I make a idiot of myself this Friday. So what do you think would win, my 350z with a sick clutch or his acura nsx with a sick clutch.... keep in mind this will be quarter mile

I think that is the same point they are trying to get across to you. These kind of threads go nowhere fast and typically end up bruising e-thug internet egos and wasting space on the forum.

 

Well, the 19" wheels would hurt the Z's time, but not as much as the 18" wheels would hurt the NSX's time. At least in a straight line. Clutch has very little to do with performance unless the stock clutch is SOOOO bad that it slips just with the stock engine.

Of course, there's a simple solution -- put them on a quarter-mile *track* and tell us what happens.

why don't you look up the 1/4 mile times for a stock nsx, then compare to a stock '04 z time? That will get you a ball park estimate.
