Atco Today
Went down to a track rental today with a bunch of vettes an trailer cars. Wasnt really expecting to run my car much but most the vette guys spent the day standing around. So anyway I let my brother run my car for the first few runs being he has alot more experince with stick cars then me. His first pass was a 14.45 with out launching the car. His best was 14.4 but the clutch went on out on first run slipping out of 1st an 2nd, he also said it felt like the computer was pulling timing between shifts cause the TQ seemed to die off then come back any truth in his? He guess maybe a TQ management program maybe the ECU has? I was really hopping to bust into the high 13s with Nismo intake an Exhaust maybe the clutch kept me from it i think the best trap we got was 99mph. I also ran my buddys BWM 335i Twin Turbo running a best of 13.5 with its quickest time being a 13.41. We were messing around on the way to Atco it seemed close most the time with the BWM pulling uptop so maybe thats why i thought my car would be in the 13s. O yeah i was also shifting at 6600rpms. I would like to get the car into the mid 13's eventually an i plan on throwing in a heavy duty clutch when it comes to replacement time. The stock one is still in from when i bought the car, so i mean the stock clutch had 23,000 miles on it. If anyone knows the anwser to the ECU question or maybe a different shifting point let me know, this was my first at the track with this car an having a stick.
Time slips always appreciated. The numbers tell the story.
Many members are disappointed with their first time at the dragstrip. They see the numbers posted in the Top-25, and expect to do the same. For most first time drivers, its just not going to happen. Pushing the car to the limits takes practice. Fast street shifting techniques is not going to cut it. After several days at the dragstrip, we see members improve their ET with just practice: same car - same mods.
I suspect that your car if fine. I will also take a guess at 2.3 second 60-foot times.

I blew my clutch out anyway was just slipping first an second. Trying to launch was out of the question an trying to keep it from slipping was just impossiable so i'm gonna head back once i get a new one setup.
