Well practice makes perfect. It seems as though you just need more seat time. You have a few areas that you need to work on.

Next time, leave some things at home.
Spare tire and tools, rear mat if you have it, and maybe even the passenger seat if your alone.

Yea im gonna leave that stuff out next time I just wanted to see what it was capable of with everything intact this time around. My goal is to break into the 13s before I start modding so where would you say I need the most improvement? Thanks

Well a 2.2 60' isnt helping you much. But still people have broken into 13's with a 2.2 60'. I know you said you missed 3rd in your first run, but even in your second run your trap was only 98mph. Not sure if it was a hot, humid day down in Florida, but if you could be at 100 and up, your 13's would come a lot sooner. You did gain almost 22mph in the last 1/8th though, so I guess you should really just work on your launch.

Thanks for the input. Im hoping with a little more practice I can bring my 60 down to a 2.0-2.1. I wonder why the trap isnt there though. Temps down here were around 73 degrees. I wish I could of got a few more runs in tonight but it was packed.

Yup, see my sig. However, I did have teh BFG KDW-2's, but no mods. I'm hoping to get out to Englishtown and practice some more.

Armitage how long have you had your bfgs on? I have the bfg kd (not w) and they took a while to break in... say a few thousand miles. I threw them on and did a lot of brakestands/burnouts at the track but they didnt stick at all last season (brand new.) this year the first time out i hit some 2.0s and 1.9s (compared to 2.1s and 2.2s sometimes.)

nice meeting ya yesterday man, good runs for your first two down the track in a RWD car.

with those traps speed, i am thinking you need to shift faster and keep it in gear longer. you should definitely trap a bit higher.

practice though man!!

let me know when that modding bug hits you, i am right over in orlando

Get that 60-foot down to 2.0 seconds, and you will have no problems running 13.99 or better. Good show.

I've had them on a little over a year, I think I've put about 25k miles on them. I agree though, it took awhile for them to break in and get real sticky. Now they are almost gone.
