Default 2007 350Z (stock) versus 2001 Ford Mustang Cobra (bolt ons), Video.

I thought the race would be closer, but the pilot of the Cobra just didn't help things.

He parked the car for the night, after the race, so I don't know how many mods he had, but I did get a good look at his exhaust, before the race. A well driven stock 2001 Cobra, which is N/A, could run low 13's as well.

Video.

PS, this was the night I ran 13.3's.

Good run. What did you trap? Do you know what the Cobra trapped? Horrible driver in the Cobra, BTW.

That was a 13.4. The 13.3's came 2 runs later. The trap was close to 104.

I don't know what he ran, they cut the slips in half at this track.

Nothing wrong with beating on a mustang! Good kill. I thought this was going to be a street race video, glad to see it was way more respectable of a race. On the track. Good stuff!

3.5 v6 beats a 4.6 v8 with mods. Impressive!

The 07 is no joke I just had one on the dyno yesterday and it put down 264HP at the wheels bone stock. I will have it back in a few weeks for some K&N drop in filters and a exhaust. I'll try to post some dyno sheets if anyone wants.

That was all driver... 01 Cobra puts down 280rwhp and 280lbs torque SAE corrected bone stock. The Z does have a few hundred pound weight advantage though.

good runs, the new Z is definetly holding its own... from what I recall stock 01' cobras usually ran mid 13's, not low 13's as someone stated...
