get Dr's and you'll be in the 1.7's with some practice.

Luie-he has DR's!

OP-what tire pressure? You need to launch higher, FI on DR's I wouldnt expect anything under 4000-4500 at least! Is the car bogging or spinning to much?

Also what rear wheel/tire combo are you running and at what psi of pressure?
If you are trying to run a drag radial with a short sidewall, then a taller sidewall tire may be the answer.

Lining up in the groove is critical. If you aren't sure where it is, there is usually someone hanging around the track that can help line you up.

Are you doing a good enough burn out? DR's aren't magical, they need to be heated well. At a minimum, when you see white smoke, do a 3 count and then roll out of it.

Well, if you are smooth and ride the clutch out and your not dumping the clutch, I wouldnt worry about breaking anything other then frying the clutch.

Do you have camber arms yet? You may gave too much negative camber, and your just not getting the most out of your DR's because of it.

10psi on DR's? You may actually be too low. Start out at 18-20 and see how it goes.

if you are scared about breaking stuff, you will never have the best 60s, i TRY to break stuff when i launch, i do a nasty burnout and then launch close to the rev limiter... when i am launching , that damn shift lift on the dash is blinking in my eyes

I run 12-14psi on MT DRs also, and clip 1.6 60's. The key is about a 10s burnout with lots of smoke at the rev limiter, followed by 130mph traps.

Our Z33 (ZR) is basically stock, but my Z32 is quite modded. Pics attached for fun. Headed back to Sears Point in a few weeks for that 10s pass.
