Wow, where to start really. A 2.6 60' is nothing pretty. Its really bad. You only trapped at 93mph, also really bad. You also only gained about 18 mph in the last 1/8th. Not good.
The DA was really bad though, and that hurt your times as well. I guess wait for a cooler night, and try again. But you definitely need to work on your launch a little more. With a 2.6 seems like you spun a lot. Even if you bogged it should be better then that. Lay off the gas a little. Dont dump it off of the line, give it a quick-smooth slip.

A clutch slip will do you wonders....don't even worry about your R/T for now.

Ya, stop that dumping the clutch technique. Its not gonna work. Hold an RPM, probably just below 3k or so, and slip out the clutch. If it grips well, then try a little higher of an RPM.

Tongith the track went from hot and REALLY sticky to "warm" (82-85) and slick-ish.

I was running 2.10 bogging for a few runs (3200 RPM slip) and then upped it and spun. By the end of the night a 2500 slip wasn't possible without some spin and having to feather it out.

I still posted my best time ever (I get better every week I go) but I can't get a good 60' by the time the temps get down to where I can run a decent trap speed.

Basically - my point is, track conditions change so much that you can't use any set formula.

It does get harder as the night goes on sometimes, but that could as be because your track is not keeping up with track prep, and condensation on the track from the decrease in temp.

what rpm are you shifting?

I'd suggest taking it right up to redline if you're not already

Thats definitely it.

And there were 2 top fuelers running before they opened it to public so their rubber wore off and I could feel it.

I shift at redline with an off-throttle shift, but not waiting or releasing the clutch slowly.

I'm beating the DE motor's by .3+ consistently, and thats the same difference VeeTec has between his, so considering he has a 3,000 ft + DA advantage on me (relative air density) I'm not unhappy with my times at all. I was just noting that you have to feel the car out. 3k slip is a great start, but some runs I have to do a 5k slip, some a 2k slip, it just depends on how the track is feeling.

I got bored when it was hot and was going for R/T's and got a 0.00 though, so my frustrations turned into me being excited for a bit.

ah, my fault, I meant where was the original poster shifting at... his 93 mph trap made me think he may be shifting too short. I have no idea what the optimum shift points are on a 2007, since the limit is much higher than our stock DE redline. Your 103.5 trap doesn't look bad at all

That's typically what I do too. I used to go to the track at least once a month, but now it's once in the spring and once in the fall always looking for a PB.

i take off at about 3200 and shift at 6600. but i speed shift, the gas never leaves the floor. Right now im running a 13.7 with a cold air, exhaust, JWT fly wheel and clutch and a AAM plenum spacer. so all i can say is try to get some better shifts they really take some time off

I'm thinking there might be something wrong with the car.. Trapping 93 is very weird. Unless maybe you missed a gear or 2.

The car should still trap at least 97-98mph, even on a bad run.

I ran 9.8 @ 73 in my Scion tC with I/H/E, and stock tires. And I also almost ran the same time in the 1/4, trap speed was within 1.

A stock 350z should destroy that time.

My worst time was a 14.3 @ 99 when I was bone stock
