Make sure you launch right and shift around 6-7k.

I pulled a 14.2 in my Z with only a popcharger, full tank of gas, and spare in the trunk

I have a 06 base model and i ran a 14.3 at 99.6mph stock. I launched at around 3k-3500rpm. Had a horrible 60ft and had crazy amount of wheel hop throughout first gear. If you post up your time silp maybe some of the guys here can give you some pointers.

The z isnt really a 1/4 mile car compared to most domestics like the camaro and the mustang. But ive seen many tracks pull of a 13.7 in stock form. The v6 2 seater is a lil different to launch and shift compared to the domestics. The only advice I can give you is to keep practicing and you will get your time down. Get your launches and your shifts down and your good to go

Were you driving the white Z? BTW, at Friday's MM, the DA for LVMS was 5600' (ouch).

I think the Z is REALLY easy to drive down the 1/4 mile. Much easier to launch than a vette and actually hooks just as good as a stang or camaro when both have sticky tires.

We must have been at opposite ends of the line then. I was there the same time. I couldn't get traction for crap that night.
