I just put in my CJM return system and this was brought to my attention

section 1.5 of the NHRA Rulebook

1:5 FUEL SYSTEMS
Location: All fuel tanks, lines, pumps, valves, etc. must be outside
of the driver’s compartment and within the confines of the frame
and/or steel body. Cool cans, fuel-distribution blocks, etc. must be
located at least 6 inches forward of the flywheel/bellhousing area
on rear-wheel-drive (RWD) cars, and on opposite side of
flywheel/bellhousing area on front-wheel-drive (FWD) cars. Fuelpressure-
gauge isolators, with steel-braided line, may be mounted
on firewall.


anyone have a problem with passing tech at NHRA sanctioned events, i attend some and i am sort of worried, there really isnt a good way to mount the FPR besides the firewall

 

I don't see the issue. The rule states that you CAN put the FPR on the firewall.

 

most are mounted on the firewall! I dont think you'll have a problem

 

No issues with that. Some tracks dont even stress about needing a cage they could care less about a RFS.

and i figured the FPR would be considered a distribution block

 

well i was just worried about passing tech at an upcoming NHRA sanctioned event in august

 

I'm sure you'll be fine.

 

dont worry about stuff ahead of time, worry about it when they ask you and you have to fix it

 

the fpr wouldnt be a distribution block.

the fuel rails are distribution blocks.
