I should have gone to Steele. I could have run a new PB, even in the heat.

Congrats on your new PB trap.

Have you ever ran it without power shifting (not lifting)?

He has always had really impressive trap speeds, so I would venture to say that he always power shifts.

04, that Vortec is treating you so well. Cant believe you got a new trap speed best in late June. Thats pretty sweet! Cant wait to see how you do once it gets cooler. You may have to use something other then the 512's though!

Very impressive, as high as my best TN trap. Nice to see S/C's trapping so high and getting more respect now

BTW-just noticed your 1/8 mph is on the weakside for a 116mph trap. I also think your 1/4 ET (espeically since you powershifting) and your 1.9 60ft is high for what you car is pulling. I was running 11's with 1.9 60ft's in 90 degree temps/80+ humidity and trapping 115-116mph, you can match the 60ft, but are no where near my 7.7 1/8 time or 1/4 ET but then your trap comes back strong.

Strong car I think you should be running faster given your 60ft though...

Only thing i can figure is waiting in the staging lanes for 45 minutes at a time to blame... Once it gets going it starts to cool down the i/c. My 1/8 traps very. Could be the shifting from 1-2 sometimes i lift, sometimes i don't... Or shifting at different spots.

The car is making up for it up top though.

I would say. Its still a very impressive S/C'd car nonetheless. Makes me consider a Vortec myself. Its almost that time for me.

Do you drive or push your car thru the staging lanes? Sitting there idling for 45 minutes certainly won't help.
Congrats on that trap.

Well the staging lanes here about about 300-400ft and that car does get heavy after a bit for a little guy by his self. So most of the time i start it up move and shut it down and so on and so forth.

Ya, I could push it as well, but our staging lanes are kinda a slight hill, and thats a workout. I feel your pain.

Have you weighed your car. I bet it's pretty light.
