NJ FI Grudge Match
I think I hurt my motor yesterday..
I was on the dyno all day and car was fine, on the way to the track, I boosted then came to a stop at a light and was missing a cylinder and white smoke (antifreeze) was comming from my exhaust on one side..However when I started to drive it went away and the car ran great under boost,no smoke..None at all.. I let the car sit at the track for a while, started up fine and drove up to the staging lanes wiyth a little sputter and smoke under vacume..Once I did the burnout and the run, the car was fine under load.It only seems to be smoking under vacuum. really strange symptoms.
No oil in coolant
No coolant in oil
Im thinking our Re TQ procedure did not work..

I wish I was there to run in cooler temps and at night -- only got one run when the sun went down last weekend, but I blew it anyway haha.
Good racing, and I feel bad for that Mustang.
Nice pics Vantage! POST MORE!
I love the one where they are just getting off the line - the last one.

I just want to say something as an observer here....Julien is a friend of mine and i've done alot of biz with MRC, all stand-up guys.....Phil, I dont know, but to bring a lawyer in the forum to lay down legal jargon all over....pretty suspect, even online-thuggish/email gangsterish. Weak move.
You should have put the gloves on and banged out after the race, but hey thats my opinion. You can even have your lawyer draft up a waiver so both are not liable!
Now to my next question: How are these 2 heavily modded, fully built and fully tuned cars running in the 12 sec range? I don't understand that with the given MPH. Maybe its the tire set-up, could be driver? Could be other reasons, but All I know is that I have been shown that it is not worth the money to go all out FI. (esp. if your intentions are 1/4 mile track racing with the Z) I guess its a personal choice here bc you cant go that fast legally on the street.
Now Before I get flamed, let me say this. I respect the guys that go all out, I have alot pf respect for Julien and MRC, and I will continue to do biz with them.

I had a lot of fun last night and Julian's car definitely had the better package.
I stayed at the track last night and got another run in but still was only able to manage a 12.3 at 119.8mph.
NJDAN, rOmey, Tracy (this girl is so sweet), zoni19, and anyone else that I met and forgot your name already, it was great meeting you and look forward to hanging in the future. Julian and I really do get along very well and I'm sure we'll be back to busting our chops but like Julian said, it'll only be in jest and in the spirit of fun...
I'll post my three time sheets once I get them scanned and I'm already looking forward to going to the track next week. I'll have my drag setup then, more boost/race fuel, hopefully I'll learn how to get the car done the track better and a mid 11 second time slip for you guys...
In closing this thread I hope that others (both younger and older) have learn something - people aren't what they always seem on the forum, things can be resolved in a civil manner if you both are man enough to admit guilt and forgive - and MOST importantly, take it to the track and DO NOT STREET RACE!
